Friends,
From September 20 to 25, 2026, the International Congress of the History of Religions took place in Bucharest, with the theme “Religions 360.” I would like to note that this edition also included the 22nd EASR Conference and a regional IAHR conference.
Researchers from approximately 60 countries around the world participated, presenting various papers on the history of religions. The main organizers were the Institute of the History of Religions of the Romanian Academy and the Romanian Society for the History of Religions.
The opening ceremony took place at the Romanian Athenaeum on the evening of September 20, 2026. On that occasion, on behalf of the Romanian Academy, I delivered a welcoming address in English.
